First impressions do matter. We do judge books by their covers.
Things move quickly online, and you have less than a second to make an impression. I’m here to help you clarify your message, organize your content and present it in a clear, visually compelling package. A package that pulls visitors in and invites them to stay.
I specialize in branding + design for creators on Substack and teach a Substack 101 workshop for clients who want to go DIY. Graphic design services for digital and print formats; I create logos, favicons, and wordmarks, I design for print media: business cards, book covers, newsletters and advertising.
From selecting a color palette, to choosing fonts and editing images, I’ll support you in making the best first impression with choices that best tell your story and attract curious eyes to your work.
I love helping people connect; with each other and you. I believe in people, in emphasizing the person-ality of my client’s online presence. Because gaining and keeping subscribers has everything to do with building good relationships. I’m here to help you put your best foot forward, to support you in your goals for success on the Substack platform.
I serve clients worldwide. So, whether we meet in person, face-to-face on Zoom, or even by phone, Style Your Stack is rght around the corner.

Because you want to write on Substack, but you don’t know where to start. Because plain is plebeian. Default is dreary. Bollerplate is boring. Because you promoting yourself with extra pizzazz is never a bad idea.
Especially when it comes to creating design elements and setting up your new writing/publishing home––your newsletter.
Substack is many things to many people, but for some, setting it up, getting started, is challenging, sometimes downright dumbfounding, and on the whole, not especially intuitive.
It takes time to get accustomed to the tech end of things, especially if you’re unfamiliar or uncomfortable with using the platform. Some folks just aren’t techy or designers.

I’m a web and graphic designer with over 15 years experience.
My favorite clients to work with are writers. It’s been my specialty for years.
I design logos, brands, and websites, and I’m good at it. Besides having tech and design skills, I spend a lot of time asking questions. I dig deep to learn about you and what your priorities are for your stack. Am I coach? I guess I am. Do I have a lot of opinions? Oh…YES, I do. It delights me when you want to hear what they are. Even if you’re not sure you want to hear, I’m going to tell you.
I started working on my newsletter, The Next Write Thing, in January of 2024. I publish personal essays and have fallen in love with the Substack community. It’s become a hard habit to break, so I decided I don’t have to.
I like to spend my time doing the things I’m good at; supporting writers in achieving goals. I’ve worked with several clients already, helping them identify their visual message, their brand––I love brainstorming newsletter names––and I’ve taught them how to get their newsletters up and running.
Demystifying the process of publishing on Substack, and understanding the tools available to you that will allow you to do the thing you’re actually here to do.
I can style and schedule your posts, curate photos, teach you about recording audio and video to add value to your publication. It will free you up to get back to the business of writing, which is why you’re here in the first place. You don’t need my help with that.
I’m here to make sure that while you’re writing, you look good, too!
